Essence de Rose, also known in English as Rose Hydration Oil, is a unique rose oil produced using a traditional Moroccan steam distillation method. In this method, roses are first distilled and then cold-pressed at low temperatures to create a highly concentrated extract — a super-saturated liquid reduced to 5% of its original volume. This extract is then blended with a "crude oil"-like rose essential oil for refinement.

The entire process involves only physical techniques such as distillation and extraction, without any chemical solvents. Therefore, this product is neither an essential oil, an absolute, nor a rose otto — it is purely and uniquely Rose Hydration Oil.

Essence de Rose results in a rose-petal-toned pink liquid, with a texture that lies between water and oil. The color of the liquid comes from the natural pigment of rose petals, not from artificial coloring.

In North Africa, Essence de Rose has a long-standing history as a beloved skincare staple — often referred to as a "national skincare oil."
